Withdrawing cash

Hi all

Il.be going to Bulgaria soon and k have the Barclaycard rewards card which will be my main one and also the clairty which I will use as back up. So I will be trying to use the credit card for purchases much as I can but I think I may need to withdraw cash from the machines.

If I so a couple transactions will it be recorded as two  or just one on the credit file. Not sure how much the limit is on these cards to withdraw as I never withdraw cash. I seen its bad to withdraw cash but it will save money.
Mortgage free wannabe

Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150

Overpayment paused to pay off cc

Starting balance £66,565.45

Current balance £56099

Cc around £3200

If you're making a single cash withdrawal when overseas and paying it straight away (to minimise interest), you're unlikely to have much of a hit long term, so I'd go with this option.

The other alternative if you're still worried is to apply for a debit card with one of the specialist providers (I use Wise as I have an account with them anyway, Monzo etc are also available and may offer better protection), transfer the money for around a 0.5% fee (based on their website and a £1000 transfer) and then withdraw money from an ATM abroad. Local charges may apply, but they would anyway.

Barclaycard doesn't accrue interest from withdrawal but clairty does. Obviously if you don't pay the money in full by the due date it will accrue interest.

Wouldn't touch Wise if there's a fee. Starling or Chase would be better. Monzo account has a limit of £250 a month cash withdrawals
