Any OneStresm Broadband Customers Here?

Hi,
I'm looking for some help from existing OneStream customers. I'm looking to sign up to their services but I really need to ensure the WAN IP address is a public one as I need to remotely connect to the router.
I've tried their help and they are "almost certain" that it is a public address but I wanted to see if anyone here has any knowledge of this?
Thanks

I think the clue is in the name, WAN stands for Wide Area Network.WAN address is the IP address that your router uses to connect to the Internet. It is different from IP addresses of computers and devices on a local network, because the WAN IP is essentially shared by all the devices. So in other words, sites like whatsmyip.com will be showing you your WAN address. And the connection details in the router will be your WAN/IP address. If the router supports Remote Management (not all do), you can turn this on in the settings and you'll be able to go to 203.0.113.11:8080 and log in as normal. Note that routers are clever devices and if they know you're accessing 203.0.113.11:8080 from inside your network you'll be treated as if you'd gone to 192.168.0.1 or whatever.

The private IP addresses are commonly used for cellular networks where there are multiple users using it and sites like whatismyip.com will report the cellular providers IP address and not that of the user so any remote management requests are blocked (or not forwarded) by the providers to the individual router.A public IP address however is the address of the router and therefore any remote management requests go straight to the router. This is the trouble I had - my 5G router reported three different IP addresses dependent on how you find out the address (one was from the management console locally, one was from whatismyip.com and the other was what DynDNS reported). On further investigation (and backed up by three mobile themselves) they only use private IP addresses for 4G/5G SIM cards so I suspect the different addresses have some NATing going on somewhere.Regards0
