"Price Protection" Cards

Does anyone know of any credit cards that offer price protection (where you get the difference back if the price is reduced in the future) please?

I know there are still some store cards that offer it, but I can't find any general credit (or debit) cards? x

Some of the Citibank cards offer a 'price match guarantee' (see the 'additional/more benefits' section under each card to see which ones do and for the small print re: whats covered)

I believe HSBC and RBS also used to offer this but I don't think they do any longer.

I don't know of any cards doimg this but I believe that Amaxon will refund the difference in price within a calendar month of ordering.

Thanks guys,

Was just trying to be moneysaving and buy items now that I know will be in the sale (but no doubt out of stock by that point!). The cards above do not cover internet purchases and/ or sales ... looks like I am just going to have to be online first thing on Boxing Day! x

Just a thought, if you were to order items on Christmas Day (at full price), they are not billed until they are despatched (presumably not until 27th at the earliest) ... I wonder if the retailer would honour the new price? They wouldn't have to legally, but if you don't try ...

I might give it a go! x

I would not try it to be honest.
They would argue that if you were happy to pay full price on Xmas day, then that is the price they would charge you.
Like you say the best bargains might be in the shops themselves on Boxing day and beyond - it might be a few days later for internet prices to come down after Xmas holiday.

Actually last year the likes of Tesco started their sale online a few days before Christmas, they day after the last day for pre-Xmas delivery had passed. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have better things to drink, I mean do, on Christmas day itself :santa2:
