Parking over white lines

HayleyI

I received a letter in the post 13. 04.22 suggesting I ignored a parking ticket placed on my car 11.03.22 for not parking correctly within markings at a retail park. They are demanding £100.
What process do I follow as this is a notice to keeper letter.
Any help would be amazing as I am a key worker, working ridiculous hours at present and haven't the time or money. I've trawled through all the info online and my brain is frazzled.
Any simplified info would be great or signposting to the appropriate documents.
Thank you in advance

Hi, and welcome!
This is easy enough - just follow what it says in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. Top of this forum.
See my signature below, which tells newbies unused to forums, where the hyperlink to page one is and what it looks like/where to click (my signature is not a link as that's not allowed here).
Which PPC? (acronyms are in the 5th post of the newbies thread, if you get stuck with our forum-speak!).Which retail park please?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm beginning to question my intelligence. I've read the newbies thread and found Drebree's post as it was the same venue. However, I didn't get a ticket on my windscreen (although they are suggesting otherwise and have provided a picture with what looks like a square item on my windscreen) my first knowledge was the letter in the post a month after.
I have visited the shop I parked opposite and spoken to managers but will now email the land owners as suggested.
I'm really struggling to get my head around what to highlight in my email to start the appeal process but am adamant I'm not paying. Do I tell them I didn't get the first ticket?

The parking charge notice was apparently issued on the 11th March 2022.0

Just use the forum's template appeal and do NOT say 'I didn't get the windscreen ticket'!
That effectively outs (by implication) who was driving, which the NEWBIES thread makes clear must not be done in appeals to private firms.
State that the keeper believes this was 'ghost ticketing' as no notice was found on the windscreen. It looks like the affixing of a PCN was either mocked up with an empty yellow envelope, or the ticketer removed the PCN, to make more commission in the event that a victim keeper feels effectively forced to pay £100 when the NTK arrives weeks later.
Ask for UKPC to investigate this ticketer in the light of other complaints and if rejecting the appeal, they must show the windscreen PCN they say was issued, and state whether they are relying on the POFA 2012 or not.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think it was in this context the OP is asking - suggested by @Coupon-mad as an addition to the initial appeal. @HayleyI, by all means show us a draft of your additional para(s) for a critique. No need to reproduce the main part of the template - we can recite that in our sleep! 😄
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
