Hi, thanks all for your help and comments.
I bought them from an exhibitor at a trade fair. He took the imprint there and then, and took the cast away with him.The reason I think they have caused such pain is because they are very hard and the inner edge rubbed against the inner side of my foot (not sure how to describe best without drawing it). He’s offered to alter them for me, which I will try obviously, but I’m a bit nervous now about trying them again as they cost a lot of money and now seem to be a lot of unnecessary faff and pain (not what I was hoping for).0 -
Was he a podiatrist? How did you pay for the insoles? How did you know you needed orthotics. Can you contact your GP and request a referral to Orthotics.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time2 -
Hi,
Was tempted by him at a trade fair, because I have something called Morton’s Neuroma and his marketing said the orthotics could help that. It was his company and he seemed very knowledgeable. Paid a deposit and am now paying monthly instalments.0 -
If you have a Morton's neuroma you'd be better off asking your GP for a NHS referral or consulting a podiatrist privately rather than buying from someone unknown at a trade fair.
How much have they cost if you've paid a deposit and are paying instalments?
(Apologies for being nosy, but how did you end up buying these from a trade fair? Do you work in "the foot trade"?)1
