Thinkmoney Account Fee

Hi I'm wanting to open an account with no credit check in order to simply use to switch to another bank straight away for an incentive, for some reason Monzo is not accepting my phone number and email and says they are in use, even though I switched out of them and the account is closed, so that seems a no go and I actually want to try Starling so don't want to risk it happening with them too so looked at Thinkmoney, does anyone know if the account fee is charged even if you switch out asap?
Or are there any other suggestions for an account to use for this purpose?

If you are an existing Halifax/Lloyds customer, then they don't tend to credit check when opening an additional current account. Is there a specific reason you need to avoid a search, such as an upcoming mortgage application?

I'm with Lloyds for about another week before that switches out too. Are you allowed more than one of the same current account with them then?masonic said:If you are an existing Halifax/Lloyds customer, then they don't tend to credit check when opening an additional current account. I don't need to avoid a credit search but i'm planning on going through all the switch bonuses so that's a lot of credit checks, so if I can avoid them on the account i'm setting up just to switch out that's a plus.0 -
It depends which account you already have. Some have limits on number. You should be able to open a standard current account.andyhicks88 said:

I had something similar happen with Monzo in the past. I had to get in touch with their customer service to disassociate the old, closed account from my profile (which was switched out to another bank) before I was able to open a new account with them. Might be worth a shot?andyhicks88 said:Hi I'm wanting to open an account with no credit check in order to simply use to switch to another bank straight away for an incentive, for some reason Monzo is not accepting my phone number and email and says they are in use, even though I switched out of them and the account is closed, so that seems a no go and I actually want to try Starling so don't want to risk it happening with them too so looked at Thinkmoney, does anyone know if the account fee is charged even if you switch out asap?

Just because the account is closed, does not mean that they do not still have your details on their system. Most will hold for at least 6 years.andyhicks88 said:Hi I'm wanting to open an account with no credit check in order to simply use to switch to another bank straight away for an incentive, for some reason Monzo is not accepting my phone number and email and says they are in use, even though I switched out of them and the account is closed, so that seems a no go and I actually want to try Starling so don't want to risk it happening with them too so looked at Thinkmoney, does anyone know if the account fee is charged even if you switch out asap?
