Hi,
im hoping someone can give me a straight forward answer as been searching the Internet and getting all sorts of things.
my TV was on earlier, no problems, I went upstairs came back and there was still sound but no pictures. I’ve unplugged it and left it for a while, tried again but still the same.
TV is only a couple of years old. Is this terminal?

Hi Neil,
thanks for your quick reply. How can I do a factory reset with out seeing the menu on the screen? Can it be done from the remote?
sorry for stupid questions but bit of a techno dummy when it comes to this stuff.

Appreciate the difficulty in doing a factory reset with a blank screen, but if you tell us what model TV it is, somebody may be able to help.

It does sound terminal to me.
I had the same happen recently and was able to self diagnose the fault as the backlight dying.

No one locally repairs tvs and I also couldn't find an engineer to do a report for retailer (tv was 15 months old).
I ended up buying a new tv from a different brand.
