Can I thin this wood oil product?

I've got a tin of a product labelled ''Universal Wood Oil'' however on reading the ingredients the main constituent is actually water and it's described as a ''water emulsified natural oil''

I'd like to thin the product down a bit (only to increase its volume by about 30 percent) partly to lighten the colour and to make it go a bit further as I don't think I'll have quite enough for the job required.

Can I thin this down and what with? Water or some other oil such as teak oil?

I think any emulsion in water can be diluted with water.
Just try this with a small amount and you will see.
However, there is a possibility that the final colour of the wood will be the same after water evaporates.

You could try a very small amount of oil with a small amount of water in a pot like the ones vitamins come in and shake vigorously for 10 -15 mins and see what happens then smear on an odd bit of wood, also a bit of the original, to see if the colour has changed if this is important
Emulsifying oil and water is a mechanical process so not convinced you have enough vigor to do it by hand.
Also there may be some seperating out.

It's already emulsion, i.e. small droplets of oil suspended in water.
