Used Car

Options
hi , bought a car end of January , noticed it had  a small oil leak  so got in contact with the seller and they said they would sort it , it turned out it was the sump , the mechanic said i would have more oil leaks for a week or so , it continued for about 5 weeks so i took it to a local garage and they said it was a cylinder head gasket problem that could cost at least £800 and they stated that the engine had been in bad condition for months  , i had only a month warranty with the car but i paid £5000 ,  have i any rights at all with this situation ? thanks

You have a right to a repair from the original dealer, but this is based on your assertion that the oil leak was present when you bought the car. You need to stick to that assertion and gather evidence to support this in court, if you need to take it that far.
