Garden Shed Roof & Felt Replacement - London Area

We could have taken care of the problem earlier when the marks of leaking first appeared. Anyway, by now, the leak covered the entire panel on one side. Plus the roof board on the other side has also detached and slipped off the middle by about an inch.

I couldn't find any reliable recommendation to ask for quote. So only got this one quote from a local guy who seems has a main focus on shed repairs. His quote: to replace the roof boards which will be in 12mm osb which will need 4-5 of and to replace the felt with a high grade shed felt with lap seals and adhesives. It comes to £578 with rubbish removal and VAT included.

We live in North London. 

My husband had a look on the cost of new shed just as a benchmark. It seems to purchase and install a new shed of similar size only costs about £1.2k. Is it fair to compare this cost of £600 for repair a roof with buying a new one? Is this quote fair for London area? My gut feeling of this guy is reliable, but I really have no clue of this type of work at all.

Any comments would be appreciated.

4-5 sheets of osb? It comes in 8x4, how big is the shed?!

So £480 without vat and for a big shed you’re probably looking at £150ish for materials. I think it’s a reasonable price for a good job with rubbish removal. It looks like there may be small repairs needed to the fascia board that’s hanging off, I assume that’s included too?

Pretty easy to diy though so I’d do that. Get b&q to cut the osb for you for free
