in Phones & TV
Hi - I was with sky, I’m in my months notice period.
I had a Q box in the living room & a second one in the kitchen.
I like to put A programme on (pre recorded) & move between the two rooms watching a bit in each.
I’m buying a 4k freesat 2TB box for the living room.
What do I buy for the kitchen, I don’t have satellite cables or an Ariel in there.
What else can I do?

If it's something that you could get "on demand" rather than recording then Amazon firesticks and continue watching

Hi,
Not sure if this would work for your set up, but I had a similar situation years ago, when I wanted a small tv in the kitchen so I could keep up with the main tv in the living room whilst cooking, and not miss everything. It was either a virgin or sky box that was being used at the time as the main source. Luckily both rooms shared a party wall, so we took the low tech & cheap approach and drilled through the wall carefully, and fed a cable through linking the two tvs together. It worked perfectly, with the limitation being the smaller tv wasn’t able to change channel, only the volume worked.I’m afraid I can’t remember exactly how it was done, but it was possibly using an hdmi splitter or similar.I can’t post the link here, but on radio4all.org, they have a guide titled ‘4 easy steps to stream to multiple tvs using a single source’ that might help.0 -
