our electric meter is no longer sending readings and a work man is coming soon. however the gas meter still communicates with the gadget in the kitchen so i can get a reading for gas on that. how do i get a manual reading from both electric and gas meters as neither display any numbers but have a and b buttons. i tried looking online but nothing quite matches our meter designs. i am attaching photos of both.

For the E470 model press the button right off the display several times. It will cycle through date, time rates etc until it gets to the total units used.
I got this model myself.
Best if you also send a photo of the gas meter. For mine I just have to press the button next to the display once.1 -

Again same as mine.
Press the red button once and it will come with "Meter Index" and the total units used.
Keep in mind that this is cubic meter, the KWh charged will be about 11.2 times the units you use.1 -

the display on the electric meter was permanently lit up as in the photo but the green light has since gone off. We have a work man scheduled for next week. Its important to get sorted because the fixed tariff ends soon.
i am wondering if its possible that the fault means it hasnt recorded usage since january and if that were the case what would they charge us. The fixed ends next month and we dont want them charging the current price cap for our fixed tariff usage since january.0 -
