Wi-Fi Extender - Sky Q Booster EE120 - using with another router?

Hi

I used to have Sky broadband and as my signal was poor they supplied this Sky Q Booster EE120.

I've now switched to Shell fibre broadband but have signal deadspots in my house.

Can I still use the Sky Q Booster EE120 to extend the wi-fi signal?

I tried to connect the two via "WPS" - pushing the WPS button on each of the new router and the Sky Q box but they do not link.

Please does anyone know if there is a way to achieve this or is it not possible?

If not possible, what is a good, cheaper wi-fi extender I could buy which would work well to extend the signal?  Not sure if it has to be fibre broadband specific?

Many thx in advance,
