Google volume up & down

We have the Alexa smart speakers and screens as well as the Google smart speaker and screens.
The Google items worked great until a few weeks ago.
The volume on the screen and the speakers we have noted of that when playing these units the volume set is playing and then it drops to under one where you can hardly hear it then after about 10 to 20 seconds it goes back to pre-set levels. Initially it was happening to the screen Google but now happening on the smart speakers as well.
We have turned on and off and I've been looking on google today and messed around with the app but it still happens.

That sounds like it is going into listening mode, eg. it has heard, or thinks it has heard "Hey Google" so it lowers the volume to listen for the command. Have a look at your activity in the My Activity section of Google Assistant, if that is what is happening you should be able to see the activity (although sometimes it takes 30 minutes to show) and also listen to the recording to see what triggered it.diystarter7 said:We have the Alexa smart speakers and screens as well as the Google smart speaker and screens.

I agree. That’s why I posted a link explaining how to stop it dropping the volume:-MattMattMattUK said:
