After my last greenhouse only lasted 6 months, next weekend I get a Rhino greenhouse put in. My question is all the plants such as tomatoes and courgettes I tried growing in the house have not worked. Will it be too late to plant seeds next weekend? Or should I give up and buy plug plants? I am in the East of Scotland.

You may get away with planting courgette seeds, but I'd go with tomato plants.  Preferably bigger than plug plants at this late stage.

Thats interesting. I'm a little late down south where we are usually ahead but I'm going to start off seed this weekend.
I'm not happy with the plants I've seen for sale this year and not cheap. Also last year I bought in plants and got blight. They just didn't grow as well.

But it's a case of looking at what is available, how strong they look in your neck of the woods.
But I've always found late planted catch up.
You could plant some seed now and put on a window sill. At least 10 days to germinate. With the moon on the wane germination will likely take longer.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Apart from peppers, I've always found late planting gives fast results and a very near catch-up. In the case of courgettes it's not really that late and it's good to stagger them a bit so they don't all go to mildew heaven simultaneously.

I am in NE Scotland and also have a Rhino greenhouse
My tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers are still indoors
Greenhouse has hit 2.5 degrees twice overnight this week
Hit minus 1.6 degrees on 1st April
And we are forecast a cold snap end of April beginning of May
Nothing going out until the overnight temperatures rise a bit

My greenhouse is unheated as well, so my chilli and other tender little plants are on the study and spare bedroom window sills.  All are doing ok - as long as the cat doesn't sneak in! Cat owners will know why.....
