Quaint Italian coastal village reccomendations?

Can anyone recommend some lovely coastal Italian resorts/ villages. 
Suitable for a small family but not loud and crazy or tourist central. 
Nice beach,  little restaurants, ice cream shop,  picturesque etc etc
Sort of the opposite of the Costa del Sol

grottemare/San Benedetto del tronto next for to each other and lovely, both an hour or so from a coupler of airports (Pescara and Ancona).

Seems to be where Italians go on holiday. Ascoli Piceno is an easy train ride and worth a visit

Plenty of such places in Sardinia including Alghero, if that is too large Bosa on the west coast.

I agree with this recommendation and easily reachable from both airports by train.
