New tyres to sell car?
I'm just about to hawk my car round the we buy any car type places but the front tyres are just about legal with about 3mm tread and are worn on the edges.
Is it worth putting new budget tyres on, part worns or just leaving them on the basis that they'll be looking for things to knock the price down on and that's as good a thing as any?
The car's probably worth around £6k. My new car's here so I just need it gone asap rather than mess around selling privately.

Sell it as it is.1

If the tyres are legal I'd just sell it as is. They might knock something off but probably less than you'd be paying to fit better ones.
