Hi,
This seems like a plan to increase the price of electricity so I'm mot sure why anyone would support it.
If it was going to have any meaningful effect then the grid operator would put in place measures to manage it. The cost of those measures would be reflected in the price cap whenever it is next set and everyone would pay for them.
In the worst case, if there were blackouts (highly unlikely) then I'm sure that those people affected would be delighted to support those that caused the failure of their electricity supply (or maybe not?).

Because it's a load of meaningless crap that will have no effect. A protest is meant to be effective and the grid didn't even blink in the light of the previous two attempts. The claim that 'it worked in Spain' is also nonsense, the whole thing is based on misinformation, and the organiser, Karen Brady, whose business career isn't quite what it's claimed, seems happy to spread that misinformation for her own purposes.
See https://bylinetimes.com/2022/04/14/the-big-power-off-and-the-importance-of-fact-checking for more detail on how mistruth is at the heart of this 'protest'.

Not even trending on Twitter in the UK 10 minutes before it begins, which is where the 'protest' has picked up most of its alleged traction. Looks it's petering out already.2
