Yeah it is just about the £5. I’m not fussed about the money, just about whether Zopa in general was a safe place to store money
I have only yesterday loaded up one of the booster accounts, so your post is bad timing for me...
I’m sure yours will be okay! All the reviews from everyone else have said they’re okay. I think I’ve just got really unlucky
I put some money in and 20 minutes later took some out. So please to report no issues for me.
Mine came out okay in the end. Tried it again since and had no problems the second time around. Not really sure what happened with mine but they weren’t sure what made it take so long- I can only assume its because it was the first time I’ve used it. I’m trusting it with the rest of my savings now so fingers crossed it’s all good now 🤞🏻
Has anyone had any issues transferring money out of your savings back into your bank account at all?
I had a Zopa 1 year Fixed Term Savings account that matured today (27 April 2022) Their website confirms this and a Certificate of Interest is downloadable. In an email a few days ago they said the money would be transferred into a holding account, and from there I would be able to close the account and get the money paid back to my nominated account. However as of today there is no way to do that via the Zopa website. So I called them. After a long wait, I spoke to someone whose English was poor; I had to ask him to speak slowly. I think he was completely untrained and was just reading stuff off his computer screen. I gave him all the details he asked for and he asked if it was OK to put me on hold for 2-5 minutes.. I said I would wait. Then I was cut off. So I emailed them instead. As of now, I haven't been able to get my money.
That does not sound good. I was going to say try the app, but looks like that is only for the Smart Saver. Cannot see any fixed options more than 95 days on the app.
