    It's the closest one.
To be fair, there is a Morrisons very slightly closer but the Asda is cheaper so worth the extra 5 mins in the car.

Not loyal to anyone, mostly get online deliveries these days and my shopping between them is much of a muchness in terms of pricing, so it's a case of whoever has the cheapest slot and who has fruit / veg / meat on offer that I want that week

I am favouring tesco at the moment for the aldi price match, cheap delivery slots, the substitute policy, and they seem to have some decent fruit / veg deals lately

Proximity for me - decent range of stuff - particularly like their “Imperfectly Tasty” range. Small veg that lasts me for a couple of weeks with minimal waste

  • We use Lidl. We shop for a family of five, on a modest budget and that budget goes further with Lidl. Lidl plus gives us £12 of discounts each month (by spending more than £200 per month).

I shop mostly at Aldi and Tesco, as I can walk to both. I often check websites for offers and theirs are the easiest to use. I recently moved and prior to the move I shopped at Morrison's Sainsbury's and Aldi as they were walking distance however their websites are not as user friendly. I find prices are pretty balanced at all supermarkets as if 1 item is cheaper, another is usually more expensive anyway

Aldi for main shopping - Price & freshness
Morrison's - location - for everyday essentials ie: bread
  • Nearest are Sainsbury's, Aldi, Tesco & Morrisons in order of preference, subject to offers & which is cheapest for things we buy. Sainsbury's first choice due to Nectar prices, points & offers in the app that often take £s off our shop plus 3% cashback off our energy bill c/o UW prepaid card.

All major supermarkets are within a 5 mile radius and I have a car.  So I shop where I get what I consider best quality considering the price.

For instance - S'bury does 'imperfect' - all good for cooking and I get Nectar points
Aldi / lidl do certain items that I want - maple syrup at £3.50 ish / wine  /  beer  / boar meat (sometimes)
Waitrose is still offering me free Guardian so I shop there for ambience /Loyalty points / some wine
Morrisons is inteiguing - some really good offers / interesting wine but not regular shop
Tesco - so intrigued with the clubcard discounts - ought to shop there more regularly

I am a baby boomer in all the aspects that BBs are financially augmented with.

  • Milk, butter and juice - all delivered by milkman - local, fresh and convenient. Plus supporting a local business.
Meat, eggs & veg - local butcher & grocer, reasons as above.   I also get my pasta from the grocer, as even though it's a bit more expensive it's lovely quality pasta.
Cleaning items - Home Bargains.  The clue is in the name!
Storecupboard - currently Morrisons because it's very convenient to have it delivered first thing in the morning whilst I WFH.

Since lockdown it's been online, split between Asda & Waitrose depending on slots and offers

However in the past month or so I've started going to Marks because I found on line veg very hit & miss at times, plus mark's is peacefull when I go, not busy with space to walk & stop to look and helpful staff, and surprisingly Marks is often cheaper and quality is better, this morning for instance both Iceberg lettuce & a cucumber were 43p each and I chose the ones I wanted
