    They will not respond to you twice a week. You are one client of however many they are dealing with and tend to respond to correspondence received rather than chase things up. You should engage the respective EAs in your sale and purchase as they will possibly have more influence in putting forward new business by way of recommendation.

    If they don't have any new information then there's nothing to update you with. Continuously hassling them just means that they have less time to get the actual work done. Remember that you are one of maybe 100+ cases that they are currently working on. If they updated all of their clients twice a week there would be no time to do anything else...

    If the loft has a ladder already and you are on a dedicated viewing with the EA or the vendor, it might be ok but its not always possible.
