Moneyhub / Voxi mobile

Hi I am posting here hopefully in the correct section (moderator feel free to move if I've got wrong) regarding a company - Moneyhub, who carries out a check on your bank account to verify that you are in receipt of a qualifying Government benefit to get a discounted mobile phone deal with Voxi/Vodafone.
I've tried to find out the implications of agreeing to having this check done. They say that financial information won't be shared with Voxi however don't seem to say who else or what else your information could be shared with / used for if at all anything. How much of your bank account do they scrape through or is it a simple request to your bank to confirm you receive a benefit or are you giving them permission to trawl through your account in detail for years?
I haven't applied yet but might not even be able to proceed as I don't do internet / app banking. I bank in person at my branch.
Thanks in advance for any advice / knowledge given. Here is a link to the Voxi / Moneyhub info I have...

They'll be checking to see if you're in receipt of the eligible benefits.
They'll have no interest or resource in looking back to see if you were receiving them years ago.1 -
Thanks for the reply. I'm more thinking about them looking at who else I have had transactions with in previous years. They would only find salary payments from then employers and mortgage payments to other banks. I've nothing to hide or any abnormal financial dealings however I wouldn't want to be giving permission to trawl my transactions and possibly be selling information to other companies. This is my concerns?0

They won't have any interest in years old transactions.
They also won't sell the data unless that's something they offer (they won't) and you choose to opt into it (you shouldn't). You'll see how they use your data in their privacy policy.0 -
Thanks. Has put my mind at ease a bit. I'm not the world's most savvy person but I've been brought up to believe you don't get something for nothing in this world and if you are getting something for free, you are likely the product.
I will try & track down their privacy policy and see if it says anything specific though I expect it's probably written around their own products. I might try Voxi & see if they will accept bank statements for evidence of benefit payments if i can't get the info.
Thanks, appreciate your replies 👍0
