auto park - Nissan X- trail Good or Bad worth the money
Hi I've been trying to get mine to work but it takes ages to work. Be interested to know if anyone else has problems or is it a big plus.
Is auto-park worth the extra? For me, the cameras work fine for me. just thinking about options for next car.
Better auto-pilot means less owner damage - less insurance?

I wouldn’t say it’s worh extra money and I don’t think it’s makes cheaper insurance.I have auto park and I never use it. I can also get out and park my car via an app…I don’t use that feature either. Personally, I wouldn’t seek a car with those features. They just came with it.
None of the above impact my insurance for the better.0 -
My current car came with auto park. Used it a couple of times to show off to friends but not used it since. I can park a car without the need for auto park and certainly wouldn't have chosen it as an extra.0

Save your money, and instead use it to pay for some parking lessons from this guy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCXw-dIhaR4(I watched him do a display live at a car show many years ago - it beggars belief what he can do, you'd swear it was some sort of camera trick if it hadn't been a live event)

I’ve had park assist systems and never used them beyond a very quick try. My experience was they were always too slow for parallel parking on roads with passing traffic as they wanted to fiddle in and out of the space. You could do it quicker yourself. And the bay parking ones…I mean…they are slow and just not needed. New car comes with a new system that I suspect I won’t use.
I do absolutely love the cameras though. Reversing and top down view…it just makes everything so easy.I don’t know about automated parking in these fancy new EVs some of those systems look very good. I’d be more inclined to use it if what I’ve seen possible actually is possible.0
