Paying shortfalls in my NI record

I have made two separate voluntary payments and on both occasions was advised to re contact after approx six weeks so the funds could be allocated to my record. On both call backs the call handler said they could see that a payment had been received and would now allocate it and update my NI record. I left it a week and when I logged into my account it was showing up.

How do you find out the state of play with your payments?

My wife had a similar experience and 6 weeks after transferring the money for a part year  rang up and it was added within the week. They also told us how much it would cost to acquire the remaining 4 years to make it the maximum. She is holding back at the mo as caring for parents or grand children may be on the agenda

I have just checked my state pension forecast today 30 / 4 / 22 and my voluntary payment has been added to my pension forecast 17 days after I made the payment which was not long to wait as some of you had to wait months
