Ive had the pleasure of having to participate with the restart scheme, offered by Jobs 22 and its a waste of money. In a analyst who has had a string of bad luck getting back to employment
The coaches at Jobs 22 do absolutely nothing, just walking around in the office bantering. There's been an invoice sitting with them since May and my 1st month childcare cost which should have been paid - when I found myself a job (by ignoring terrible advice from their "CV Expert" - hasnt been paid. I'm in the process of starting a complaint to the DWP and MP re the level of stress and anxiety they're causing me by insisting I participate when the havent added anything of value and would have lost me childcare place had I sat around waiting for them.
The problem is, if you have no experience getting yourself into a good job / company and you dont know what a CV should look like, you'll eat whatever Jobs22 are selling and ask for seconds. But if you do, you'll know to nod and smile and pray they forget about you so you can get on with helping youself as I did.0 -
I had fortnightly meetings with a Restart adviser earlier this year after almost 2 years on UC. The only problem with that is that I already have a job, I get UC because I'm limited how many hours I can work due to disability. My adviser was very nice, we'd go through the motions of filling in the forms, then have a general chat about whatever, then I'd go home. Once I got my LCWRA award I didn't have to go any more. It was run by Reed Employment.*not actually psychic1
