HDMI splitter issue..

Howdy!
until this morning when the open reach engineer attended , I had no internet for over a week. 

I tried everything during that time , it used to stop after about 10 mins 

Looking further into the problems , I noticed that after lady left the problem returned . 

So, I took HDMI splitter out of my lovely but old tv and plugged Apple TV direct into the only HDMI socket .
success! 

I thought it best to put splitter back in , and lo and behold the picture cut out. 

I remember having old splitter somewhere and put that in instead .
At first Same problem..picture cut out
However, it seems to be ok now for the last 7/8 mins or so .

The Vodafone router is fine ,and no red light flashing as Engineer  did a great job .
This tells me it’s the HDMI splitter that is the problem and I honestly don’t know if there is a better solution 
I only need 3 HDMI sockets .

Please can someone advise ?

Looking a bit more into it , it looks like I’ll need a new splitter and a couple of long good quality HDMI cables . 

Please could somebody recommend?
