New Build Properties/Developments

Is there a website which consolidates all the companies which provide new build properties? I've searched new build properties, but its only showing the usual 2-4. I'm hazard a guess there are plenty more than the usual big names.

New build developers who have properties (Houses/townhouses) in the below regions:

Essex
Hertfordshire
London
Kent

And what ones would you recommend in using? I have heard quite a few negative information surrounding Bellway.

Most builders have at some time had negative comments.

How did you search? If you ticked the new build only option on Rightmove it should show you everything, from the major developers to smaller one man bands. If nothing else is coming up it means nothing is available…

You could always check with your local planning department on builds that might be coming up, but there isn’t really much you can do until the developer releases the plot(s) for sale.

Re the quality of developers, it can depend as much on the local subcontractor as the developer themselves (I.e. you could have one amazing Barratt development in Oxford then an awful one in Sevenoaks). I bought my house from Bewley Homes plc and I have to say they have been brilliant and the house is great quality especially in terms of the finishing.
