Direct line mileage payback

Has anyone else had problems trying to claim the money back?
My policy ended in January and I haven't heard from the company and keep having problems trying to speak to them. Has anyone else had a refund ? They told me they were overwhelmed with a backlog ?

We used the scheme when first introduced (at the height of the pandemic and lockdowns)

It worked well for us, and got a refunds on two policies within a few weeks of our application. Everything was done online and we didn't have cause to speak to anyone. Things seem to have changed now.

I ran through a quote with them over the weekend for a new car. I was quite surprised they were still offering this service.

Has anyone ever received a refund from Direct Line for low mileage? I have submitted my mileage last year and this and wanted to check what date I submitted it this year (forgot to record it) and it doesnt look as though there is anyway to see a record of what you have submitted? I called them and the person i spoke to said they have no info about this either they are just told to tell people to wait for an email!  I am 6000 miles below my normal mileage!!  thanks

My experience is that fairly big increases in mileage only make a few quid difference. I assume it would be similar for decreases.

There was a computer problem this year and payment wasn't received until 15 July with a policy renewal of 3 Jun but it has worked OK for the past couple of years.  They send an e-mail when you submit a mileage.
