Evri (was Hermes)

Just looking for some advice.  My daughter sold a dress which Evri tried to deliver 3 times on the same day. As the person wasn't in, it's being resent to our house.  The person still wants to buy it - can we use the same label as the person still wants to buy it? My daughter doesn't want to pay the postage again, but who's liable? She wasn't in, Evri tried to deliver 3 times - but on the same day.

Your daughter will have to pay for and use a new label. You cannot reuse the label.

The recipient can give Evri a "safe place" location if necessary.

Making the two further attempts of delivery on the same day feels like Hermes are trying to get away with not having to try and deliver, but their terms and conditions don't actually define the "further attempts" just that there has to be two of them.

Sounds like the local courier for Hermes at the buyers end is not reliable so if you do re-send might be best to use another courier. You won't be able to re-use the first label.
You could try contacting Hermes to complain that all three attempts were same day and you don't think that is the expected service level, but as there is nothing specific in their terms setting out what defines further attempts, other than being two of them you might not get anywhere.

Related but different, apparently an Evri delivery attempt for a parcel I'm expecting was unsuccessful because nobody was home … that's a total lie, there was no delivery attempt as the two of us at home can attest.

This is the first package I've expected from them since the change; our Hermes driver was always very good, and I wasn't anticipating the company change meaning a change of driver :(
