Apple Watch repair

I bought an Apple Watch less than a year ago and it randomly stopped working a few weeks ago. They said it would be repaired for free so I sent it back to them.
They refused to repair it as the screen was cracked and they said they can’t repair it as they need to get into the Watch via the screen which is not possible if it’s cracked.
The screen am cracked after s few weeks of my buying it as it’s badly designed, it hasn’t stopped it working at all. The crack has nothing to do with the fact that it’s stopped working.
It cost me almost £600 and us now worthless through no fault of my own.
Is this something worth fighting?

No, but look at getting the screen repaired so you can then get the other problem fixed under warranty.
What was the design fault that made the screen crack?0 -

So cracked screen & to fix they need to remove the screen.
Seems pretty obvious why they can't/will not want to take on the job. Unless you are prepared to pay for a new screen.
Daughter is very accident prone. Yet has had a i-watch for a couple of years & it's still in tact.Life in the slow lane1 -

The former is highly unlikely to be possible as what fits together nicely when cracked and held in place rarely does so well after is been dismantled and trying to put it back together.
Given the price you are stating you paid it is presumably the stainless steel version which comes with a sapphire screen and so you've done fairly well to be able to break it. Yes sapphire can break still but is much stronger than the glass used in mobiles and the aluminium watch etc which is the same reason you see many people with broken screens on their phones but rarely broken lenses on the back.1 -

I've had an Apple Watch for aounr 18 months and there are several scratches but no cracks. Know several people with them and no cracked screens.0
