Am I dealing with termites (white ants)?

Hi! Another Wirralian here!
We have some tiny mite-like things in our house - I believe they are Psocids (booklice). They are pale, translucent and dart about very fast. I also believe they are the source of a very annoying ticking sound we keep hearing. More about those here: https://bpca.org.uk/pest-aware/Page-3/booklice-control-how-to-get-rid-of-booklice-psocids-bpca-pests/189178
You said the bugs you have are almost impossible to see, so perhaps at 1mm or so Psocids are too large to be the culprit? I remember in the past seeing miniscule mites on our plants that were barely visible so maybe you have something like that?1
