What are my rights?

Options
I ordered and paid for a selection of appliances to be delivered with my new kitchen (very excited) just been told they can’t supply my Neff appliances due to the war in Ukraine (bit odd as Neff had issues way before and they said they were still available but that’s their excuse at the moment). I’ve had to change manufacturers on a couple of the appliances and bought others from a different supplier. But now I feel that they have sold the appliances I already paid for to others so what are my legal rights on this? They are planning on just refunding the difference but the ovens I’ve bought are more expensive although a lesser standard and I feel I’ve been left out of pocket making up for them. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thank you :)

You rights were to decide not to change and wait or change and pay the difference.

Feelings do not come into it, and yourts are unfortunately paranoid.

You already made the descision, try not to worry about it anymore.
  • They can’t supply them, you got a refund for the appliances in question.
Your rights are exactly that, the rest is just conjecture as you have no idea why they can’t supply or where those appliances are now.
  • Thanks, I just wondered if I had to accept it or if I had other options available to me.

Not paranoid just questioning the facts presented to me, anyway even if I am paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get me 🤪

What makes you feel this?  What benefit would there be to the business to do this?

Why would someone lie about an inability to supply appliances?  Manufacturing is a global supply chain. The pandemic showed how fragile the chain is once there were complete shutdowns at national level.

Ask the company to cover the difference in cost on the appliances?

If you have a contract for both kitchen and
appliances together I would assume they aren't meeting the contract and the suggestion of pulling the entire kitchen order will be more costly then a few quid back to cover your extra costs.
