Im starting to now see 'fluff; / 'fluff balls' on my clothes when I take them out of the washing machine. This is now starting to get very annoying. How do I remedy this? Has anyone experienced this?
Many thanks,

Also, how old is this machine? Have you been using it for ages, and this issue has suddenly started? You have obviously checked the impeller, right? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Does it have a filter you can clean out?0

Is the fluff always that grey colour? If so, you probably have something trapped in the washing machine. It’s shedding fibres. Perhaps caught in a pipe. As I mentioned, have you checked the impeller?

If it's on all clothes and they're a mix of ages and fabrics, it sounds like you have put something like a tissue through the wash. Clean out the machine (just wipe the inside of the drum and the door seal with a damp cloth and remove any visible bits), then check the filter too. I usually remove tissue bits from clothes by giving things a good shake, then rewashing once I've cleaned the rest out of the machine.
If it's pilling i.e. bits of the actual fabric forming into little balls that are attached, you can get battery powered machines, a "Bobble Off" or similar, often in pound shops or Wilko-type places. They shave the bobbles off. Or you can use a razor... a razor blade is okay but a standard disposable razor is easier and feels safer for fingers and fabric! Just gently shave the bobbled areas to remove them.
Some fabrics do just bobble badly. Others will only bobble (or will bobble more) if you're washing them incorrectly so it's worth checking garment care labels to reduce reoccurrence.1 -
Are they all the same colour, or the same colour as the clothes?
If they're the same colour as the clothes those are just pills and you'll need to shave them off. Nothing to do with the washing machine just the fabrics.0
