Flat with cladding

Hello Everyone
I am leaseholder of a flat (in an apartment block having 64 flats), which I bought in 2014.
The building is beyond 18m, and has claddings.
The builder hasn't provided any EWS1 from a qualified professional despite repeated requests.
We are not sure of the condition - whether we are living in a safe building.
As far as I know, there's no law from the government which specifies the timelines to provide EWS1. There's no law from government specifying time limit to remove/rectify the cladding.
As a result, the leaseholders are unable to remortgage or sell their flats. It's been over 2 years of distress and it might soon turn into depression for some people.
The problem applies to many flats across UK.
Is there anything that the flat owners can do? Or just spend months & years feeling helpless?
Many thanks for reading my post and for your answers/inputs.
Kind Regards

I think all there is is a promise from the government, who knows how long it will take to implement. There’s lots of talk of urgency on the DLUHC website, pledges and assurances but no clear timetable for bringing any new legislation to parliament.Arch1

Sadly all most people in that situation can do is remember to not vote Tory in a couple of year's time.2

Maybe start a campaign? Noise can work sometimes. 🤷♀️ The alternative is sit and wait and slip into a depression. Doing something about it will help speed things along. Politicians will only do something if it will cost them votes.Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £238k, target £122k (quarter way!)

Might also be worth a collaboration with other buildings in a similar situation.15 people from 1 block can be an irritation but you have 5 blocks of 30 flats on board and newspapers like that type of spin (even if it is just 5 households kicking up a fuss) and that makes you harder to ignore. That then can easily escalate to bring more parties in.Worth checking Facebook or other local to you forums to see if there is a preexisting activist group on this issue already?May you find your sister soon Helli.
