Am i right in thinking that i can ride my motorcycle to a pre booked MOT test without MOT or tax but with insurance and no obvious issues or faults?

    Yes.
... and no obvious issues or faults?
You must not drive a vehicle in an unsafe or unroadworthy condition. If you are found doing so it will firstly up to the police whether they take any enforcement action and ultimately up to a court to judge the matter if the police make you an out-of-court offer which you decline to accept.

Bike has been off road for 2 years so no MOT or tax but kept insured and in good condition.

Yes it's no problem. I do it every year as i SORN my bikes in winter. And you wouldn't ride an unroadworthy bike to fail it's MOT would you.

Well you can't get tax without an MOT, so yes. But then you're supposed to get tax as soon as you can - which you know, obvs.

The main thing is it must be a pre booked appointment and you ride a direct route to the testing centre.
As above my bike was only on the road 6 months in the year.
