Morning everyone.

Easter Sunday is very overcast and wet so I hope that the sun is shining elsewhere.
If the weather clears up I may venture into the back garden for a while, otherwise I'll be much more slothful. I haven't got any Easter eggs or even ordinary chocolate in the house which is weird. DM loved the wee Lindt bunnies, especially when I hid them around her place, she'd spend ages searching for them all. Ah well...times change.
Edited to add photo from 2018.

My thoughts are with our poorlies and their families. Happy Sunday to all.

Good morning 🌄
Looks like it's going to be a nice day, it turned out hot and sunny yesterday🌞
I went for a 9 mile walk with my sister yesterday, we both really enjoyed it, the spring flowers were lovely, the bluebells are just coming out too.
Just pottered in the garden after that.
Having a lie in at the moment, will prep the dinner later, we always have our main meal in the evening, other than that I may go for another walk and then more pottering😊
Have as good a day as you can 🌻

Morning all. The sun is shining here and I've just taken DH up a cup of tea to drink in bed.
When he gets up we'll be recceing a 5 mile walk around Woburn and then we've been unexpectedly invited to someone's house this afternoon for tea and scones. That will fit in very nicely!
I have 2 Easter Eggs sitting here looking at me so I might indulge a little bit later on.
Easter Sunday blessings to everyone.14 -
Good morning, everyone
A bright sunny start to Easter Sunday, and hopefully it will stay that way throughout the day.
As mentioned in a previous post on this forum, today my partner and I are having a "no gadgets day". Which means from 9am to 9pm we will be switching off our tablets, PCs and laptops, and only using phones for emergencies and/or messages from close family members.
It's all part of our "Getting to Know you" idea we had back in the new year, where we were determined to spend far less time looking and communicating with our gadgets than the old school method of interacting face-2-face.
So we're both cramming as much tablet-time updating as possible between now and 35 minutes time (9am)

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a much nicer start than yesterday when the mist and cloud took all morning to clear and the temps finally rose in the afternoon. Today we are forecast 18 deg but sadly we are all to revert to "seasonal average" from tomorrow. Good weather never seems to last long does it!
The front garden still awaits the promised tidy. Maybe today's the day.
TAFF in a different life we had quite a few holidays based in Bergamo (we loved the Old Town). We flew and did all our sightseeing of the area by train from there. The last time we were there, before Bob's diagnosis, we stayed on Lake Iseo where we spent two wonderful weeks for our Ruby Wedding. We loved it so much we promised ourselves we would go back the following year but sadly it wasn't to be. We did drive down through France a few times many years before that, staying on either the coast of south west France or northern Spain but a bit of a drama on the Peripherique coming back home the last time put an end to travelling that way again!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. COXY I hope you have now recovered from your marathon hike. I read that John has now finished his fundraising trek and is suffering a poorly knee too. Take care one and all, thinking of NELS and NRA and also RUBY's DM . Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all
We have been so lucky with the weather this weekend its another bright sunny day today, yesterday was lovely enough to sit in the garden for dinner, the fish bbq was delicious.
I went and saw mum yesterday she was very down and burst into tears when she saw meshe said she was in a lot of pain and was cold, I wrapped her up warm and got her another blanket and she felt a bit better, she will be in for a few more days as they want to get the pain sorted before she comes home, she also has a tear in her liver which is causing fluid retention so they want to sort that out too, she has said that she doesnt want my nephew at her house alone as he cant cook for himself and she is worried about him locking up etc and she said she wont be able to cope with him once she comes home, so I phoned his family to come and collect him which they said they would last night but they were a no -show so we need to sort that out today, its really not fair that he has been left with mum.
My feet are still sore but keeping them up is helping, Im sure once I get back to work the major pain will start again, lets hope work can help me to find an answer.
Continuing on the fishy theme today we are having salt and pepper squid, we had it in a cafe last week and found some in tesco, its battered squid and very tasty, we will have that with chips and salad tonight.
Going to mums this morning to change her bed and try and clear the clutter a bit to try and prevent more falls and also try and get the nephew out and back home, I will bring her washing home to do here, I have also ordered her a walker with a seat which I think might help.
Hope you all have good days and enjoy easter sunday xxxx12 -
Morning all, not posted for a few days. Nice bright start but doesn't seem quite as warm.Early dog walk with DH, he only comes with us on Sundays and you'd think royalty was taking her, traitorous poochGers, no chocolate here either, hope the weather improves.Snoozer, hope Laura is doing okGlad your foot is feeling a bit better RR. Well done on your walk CoxyHad a lazy afternoon pottering in the back yesterday after grandparent football watching duties in the morning. Tonight we are out for drinks and a meal with DB2 and SiL, somewhere we haven't been but DB1 said it was the best Italian they'd had in years. Hopefully DS1 will do the taxi-ing for us, they are coming on the train , it's only 1 stop for them but today they are only every 2 hours so means an earlier start and finish as the last one back is midnight, but DS has said he'd run them back.Tomorrow we have a match, so will see DS2 and kids then, and give them their Easter money cards. We tend to pick them up and go in one car as it's £8 for car parking at the stadium.Taff, nice to hear of your plans for Italy, and your stays too TA.Best wishes for Easter Sunday everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, the sun is out again but it maybe the last day of it so I have the wm on with another load as the basket was full again. I'll hang it out to line dry too as I want to take advantage of outside drying while I can. Wish I'd cut the back lawn this week, ah well it'll have to grow into a wild meadow again. An old farmer we know used to say "never cut the grass till May or it will grow back twice as quick", perhaps he was right 🤔
Dad is coming over for the day and we're having a leg of lamb for lunch although I had to sell the family silver to buy it 😂 We haven't had a leg of lamb for a couple of years and now Dad tells me he has bought one too, so his will go into his freezer as mine is choc-a-bloc. I just have the veg to prepare now.
We don't have Easter eggs either, well we did, but we only had one to share and that went last weekend 😋
RedRuby I hope your Mum gets sorted and home asap.
Hope everyone can have a pleasant ( Easter ) Sunday
Take care and hugs to all.

Hello all, another one who has been missing for a few days, not really ill, but just under the weather with hay fever/sinus symptoms and strange feelings like when I was brewing a migraine (thankfully the menopause sorted those out).
Pottering in the garden, emptying and re-filling the pots and containers mostly with herbs.
Gers I loved all those little bunnies lined up on the fireplace.
Lovely reading about Italian holidays taff and TA, some great sounding walks Wicked Lady and Sunflower, and as always envious of a visit to Alnick ScarlettRibbons, have just cancelled our visit to the NE due next week, that's 3 years running not been able to go, perhaps later in the year.
Ruby your poor DM lying there cold and very fed up bless her, sending you good vibes for sorting out your nephew and hope you get to rest your poor feet.
Nanny no Easter Eggs here, but I bought us each a bar of yummy expensive (well it was to me) chocolate, OH would never think of doing anything like that, but will happily munch away on it, I told him that he was to take me out one day this week and buy me coffee, he is a good 'un, but just needs a nudge in the right direction occasionally.
Sad yesterday as heard that one of his two remaining Aunts has died, 92? and slipped away peacefully we are told, we phoned to try and see her when we were in the Cotswolds recently, but she was not at home.
