Sharp increase in travel insurance quote post Covid

I have just got myself an annual policy  quote with my usual insurer for the first time since 2019. I do have to declare medical info but there has only been a minor change since 2019. However the cost of the policy is more than double what I paid in 2019. I am wondering how much this is to do with Covid risk? I wasn't asked any questions about whether I was vaccinated or whether I had had Covid. Have others had a similar steep increase?

Yes, but we only bought single trip cover.  Before COVID, around £22.  This trip £80.

I may just do a single for the moment. I am just going for a short trip  with refund for accommodation if needed to 'test the water' post Covid/Brexit. I previously paid between £80 and £105 for an annual including medical cover.

Just renewed our annual policy with Staysure - renewal price same as last time and, with a bit of discount as returning customer, it ended up slightly cheaper.

Your lucky ,2 weeks in the Canaries ,£106 for a couple BUT have taken out an annual policy for £213 , last annual policy i 2020 was £170 so not a bad increase as we both have some health issues though nothing life threatening.
