And then once they're on, they don't want to be released!

Well today was a bit...spendy. Again.

Needed to get MrCC a wedding anniversary gift. It's our 12th for which the choices are 'fine linen and silk' or 'pearl'. No ideas!

So I went out at lunch and ended up with a nice deep green linen shirt from Urban Outfitter, plus a Ninja Turtles t-shirt for a little more excitement. £64 spent.

Then, the cats. We have 2 rescue cats who we hoped to be indoor cats, as our previous cats were quite happily. These 2, however, are incredibly active and desperate to get out. The little girl cat has inadvertently become child 1's best friend and therapy cat, and so we cannot contemplate the idea of losing her, or her (non related) brother cat. So, a dilemma. We've decided to try an airtag on a collar as a way of keeping an eye on them, at least whilst they get used to the area. SO I have purchased 2 air tags, 2 attachments and a pack of collars. Still not sure if we're doing the right thing but there's no perfect solution. Another £75 spent.

I was on my way home from the office when MrCC messaged me and said he and the kids were in the restaurant near the train station for tea - he decided he didn't want to cook and tidy up tonight. He paid, but still, more spends.

Hoping for a much more frugal weekend! Tomorrow we only have parkour class for child 1 (already paid for), Sunday is a trip to the park and Monday we're going to my parents by the seaside for time on the beach and a BBQ. Not sure yet on the rest of this half term week (we have 2 weeks). With nice weather it's all a lot easier!

What a glorious day! Currently sitting in the garden after pegging the washing out, child 3 is on the trampoline and the garden is teeming with bees, I love it.

There's loads of weeding to do that I'm building up to but I'm enjoying just sitting right now.

We got the final figure for the new carpets, all in that's £1800. Payable over 18 months interest free, so that's helpful but it's still another monthly outgoing to add to the list. Will sort it all out today because there's a wait for fitting and someone is going to go flying down the stairs soon if it's not done.

Planning a sweet potato curry for tea, got everything except poppadoms so will need to nip to the shops. Also need a new socktopus for the washing line, mine broke this morning and I tried to gaffer tape it but as soon as I put some washing on, it snapped again.

Happy sunny Saturday readers. Have a lovely day ☀️

Aah and the weather continues to be glorious 😊.
Had a lovely day yesterday at the beach, only spends was a picnic which I got at Aldi on the way to the beach, £21 for all 5 of us for the whole day.
Today was more spendy, had to go to Asda for ingredients for Mr CCs birthday brownies and some top up shop for the week. Also got Child 2 some summer shoes (much cheaper than the £40 Sketchers she was after!) and child 3 some summer trousers. £81 all in but I had £10 voucher from Asda rewards so basically the shoes and 1 pair of trousers were free.
Sold a pair of shoes on eBay for £10, that's gone onto the Monzo flex debt straight away.
Tomorrow is Mr CCs birthday, he's got family coming over at 12 so I need to blitz the house in the morning. We're going out for lunch but I'm not sure who's paying yet, I'm hoping at most it will be a split bill because there's 5 adults plus our 3 kids.
Thursday child 3 is in nursery so I might take the big 2 to the local climbing centre, I can't take all 3 because an adult can only supervise 2 kids, so they can't go usually.
Hope all is well for you all out there ☀️

    Hello MSEers!
It was Mr CC's birthday today and we've had a lovely day in the main. Child 1 struggles a bit with birthdays generally. Too much change and disruption. But he was reasonably calm for most of the day.
Lovely father in law paid for all our meal which was very kind.
It would have been a NSD but I did then join slimming world online this evening. My weight has been creeping up since lockdown really and my willpower is zero so I need a system. If it works it will be worth it!

Good luck with SW. I need to get back on it but my willpower seems to be missing.
