British Gas Renewal

I have had this renewal offer through from British Gas, am I right in thinking this is a good offer? It's seems too good to be true compared to the standard variable rate so I'm slightly confused, my direct debit will only go up by £6 a month. It says tariff ends on 24 months but it's actually fixed until may 2023 so I don't know why it says 24 months there.

Snap that up before they withdraw the offer.

Hopefully thats an indication that there might be some better fixed deals on the horizon but I suspect its yet another BG error sadly

I've had the same offer. Probably going to snatch their hand off

It was there on the renewal page and at the price shown above. My DD has only gone up £20. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Feels top good to be true.

Should be noted that the biggest fix they seemed to be offering was broadly in line with the price cap.

My guess is, this tariff was first offered in April or May last year when a 24-month fix would have run to May 2023.
    What is the tariff name?
Like others have said, it's a bargain by current standards.

This one feels like a mistake for sure, grab it and see what happens, do not delay...

Hi, it was called HomeEnergy Secure May 2023, I've picked it and had the confirmation through but expecting them to email at some point and say it was a mistake.

Spot on, it was originally offered 30th April 2021.
Got to love the way BG continue to make this sort of mistake...

I'm guessing they can just cancel the offer then? Or am I safe once a certain amount of days pass. It won't actually start until 3rd June so I'm not holding out much hope.
