I am one of three Ex-Royal Navy veterans crewing National Historical Ship Estrallita which we are sailing from Somerleyton to Plymouth and back in May and June 2022, we will be calling in to many ports along the south coast on our way there and back, our two just giving pages are SSAFA  Armed Forces charity  and  Jenny Lind Children's Hospital in Norwich, we also have a website here which has all the links to our social media platforms. Please follow our journey and share our social media posts

On the first page of the website there is a button called 'Learn More' which will take you to our story on the SSAFA website where it explains in more detail what we are doing, basically we are trying to get the word out to let people know about our fundraising event so as that we can raise as much money as possible for these two charities which are close to our hearts.

We would be most grateful for any donations made to our charities.

Hi, are the charities you mention registered?

As per this from the Forum Rules:

"Sadly, not everyone is honest and genuine. Therefore, refrain from asking for money or sharing personal fundraisers as we can't police who is genuine or not. The exception to this is for registered charities and you can read more about this on the Charities Board"

There are some really helpful past comments on that board and I really hope your charity is registered because it sounds like a fantastic thing you're all doing.     :)
Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Although I do carry out careful research before posting and never intend to mislead or supply out-of-date or incorrect information, please do not rely 100% on what you are reading. I do know that SSAFA is a registered charity.  Don't know about the others but this makes them look legit.
