Small claims - defendant only paid original amount not costs or interest

I have made a small claim against someone. They have admitted and paid the claim for the original amount but not paid the interest or the costs.
Do I confirm the defendant has paid even though they have only partially paid the claim ?
If I leave the claim open and not settled within timescales will the small claim continue to get the outstanding balance paid ?
If I leave it open will the claim remain unsettled as it’s not for the full amount?
Do I accept something is better than nothing and swallow the costs myself?
I would contact small claims direct for advice but they are shut all week until 19/4!

Courts are not trained to offer advice.
Your options are:
1. Accept what's been paid and confirm to the court the matter is settled.
2. Tell the defendant they've not settled the claim in full and you'll be proceeding with the case if they don't pay the remaining balance in 7 days.
3. Apply for judgement, accounting for receiving the debt, but not costs or interest, assuming the date has passed; check the court paperwork and dates.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
