App to replace IHD

After letting the battery run flat, my IHD has lost the unit price so I'm unable to see how much its costing me per day I know that I could work it out myself but the IHD is a first generation model from SSE which doesn't show much.
I was wondering if there was a good app that I could use to replace the IHD I did have a search but they seem to want to know personal information and I'm not sure how safe this is. Does anyone have any recommendations please?

If you have an Android/Google based phone you can use Bright: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.hildebrand.brightionic&gl=USThere's a similar app for Apple phones. You will need to go through their verification process to prove who you are first though.

A heads up, Bright seem to be a 3rd party, who likely are collecting data, I didnt find anything on the app that isnt on the suppliers website.
Things like live usage are not on the Bright app.1 -
No application can have live usage as the data is collected only once a day or less often by your energy supplier.

Over the next few years, price comparison websites will be using tools like this to pull 12 months of smart meter data. The owners of price comparison websites will either have to become a Registered DCC Other User or partner with a company such as Hildebrand.
Personally, I have no problem with Hildebrand collecting my usage data.1 -
Thanks for the replies. It looks as though I'll just have to make do with Octopus' website and working it out myself .0

Another vote for Bright - I put it on my phone and set it up with the GUID from my IHD - no other verification needed. It shows Elec & Gas usage every 30 minutes on a historical basis - in my case it goes back a full year. The 30 minute usage for the current day is normally about an hour behind real time and there can be gaps in the data but it all catches up after a day or so.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?4
