We come out of our fixed tariff on the 24th April with Eon next. Having read all the advice and seeing the options for fixed in the future it seems the only position to take is to go onto a standard tariff... Which of the companies has the lowest standard tariffs? Thanks

They are pretty much all the same within around £5 of each other. The only real difference can be with E7 electricity but you would need to do a pretty exact comparison on your actual use. The other obstacle is finding a new supplier that will accept you on the loss making SVR.

So are energy companies not accepting transferred business at the moment?0

There are unconfirmed rumours that EDF and Octopus if you ring them will take people on the SVT but the standing charges and capped rates will be the same0
