Appreciate you looking in. Yes that appears to be it. I’m thinking to SAR one or more bank in advance of the reply. Do you have a link to an up to date SAR please? Thanks0

Send a SAR to the company, but before you send them to the banks, just explain the situation and ask. If they have the information they would have no reason not to provide it (you* have LPA for their customer), if they don't have the information a SAR won't change that.

+++ FORUM UPDATE +++
The repayment request for the payout is dropped. Out of time or whatever. No further action will be taken.
It was noted during this process; which was finalised recently, that complaints to the FSA regarding the circumstances of other 'victims of mistakes not of their making' (VOMNOTM) resulted in decisions favouring the unintended beneficiary of up to 80% of the balance (ie the victim repaying only 20% in some cases). This was for both smaller and larger amounts. In all such previous decisions by the FSA the timescale involved between payout and repayment request was weeks and months. Not years as was the case in this instance.1
