'Chrome' wrap for radiator pipes - discolouration

I have tried various plastic chrome-effect radiator pipe covers (like Radsnaps) which look great when new, but discolour and turn brown with the heat after a couple of winters' use. Am I alone in getting this discolouration? If not, has anybody found a make/type that does not discolour?
Also, a couple of my radiators have long feed pipes from the floor - maybe 30cm or more. A source for long non-discolouring chrome pipe covers would be perfect!

I've used the Talon Snappit ones, they've been on for probably 18 months and we've not had any discolouration so far. They are available in 200mm and 500mm lengths, I believe.
If you want a more radical solution you do get metal covers you can slide on to the pipes - this would require draining down the system and removing the valves etc. which is quite a bit more involved!!1 -
OK thanks. I will give them a try.0

I just use aluminium foil tape such as this, works great.

I can't help with the make but we have these covers on the bathroom radiator pipes. They have been on nearly 10 years and no discolouration.
