Good morning everyone. Waking up in a different bed is weird. I'm going to pad through to the kitchen for coffee.

Coffee made and I'm back under the duvet. 😀
All went well yesterday. Handing over my DM's documents and letters was much more emotional than I imagined it would be. Even the young woman I met got a bit choked too but I'm so pleased that it's done. Once it's all been collated the way the university wants a web page will be designed to outline the collection and my DM. Now, almost a year after her death the finality of all the processes is here. Then my two hospital appointments were excellent. I'd hardly got my BT on the chair in the waiting room until I was given the dreaded two gowns to change into. Not an attractive look! The X-ray was done very swiftly, then I had a short wait for the ultrasound injection. Lovely doctor prodded my hip until he found the sore spot (i.e. when I yelped), a smearing of gel, a wee jag of lignocaine and then the steroid injection and it was all done. I had no side effects and can't understand the instruction to not drive for 24 hours! The afternoon / evening with Alan was really good too. We went to Dobbies where I bought some strawberry plants and a replacement lavender. This morning we'll have breakfast at our favourite Italian cafe before I head home. I've really enjoyed my brief time here. My hip is pain free and I'm already walking better so all's good. 🙏
I'll catch up on the thread later, meanwhile I hope that everyone's doing well. Happy Thursday to all.16 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.Pleased that yesterday was ok for you Gers, everything went smoothly. Hope you have a good journey home..It's a quiet grey start here,i think the forecast is quite good,We had a good day yesterday, took the caravan out for a run and everything seems ok, so we're looking forward to going away on Monday.Dgs is coming to spend the day today, I don't know what we'll do, have made no plans, One thing we'll definitely do is go to our little railway station and train spot for a while, he loves that.I'll sort a few clothes out for going away after he's gone home, I won't need a lot. One thing that's an essential is a waterproof coat, that always goes.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.15

Good morning all
A distinctly dark and overcast morning here in the Lake District. Had to give the CH a quick blast for an hour to take the chill out of the place.
Fortunately I am working from home again, so no mad panic about commuting. When I first starte WfH roughly 2 years ago I found it rather difficult to motivate myself to actually do any work. Or at least not during business hours. But it didn't take long before I got stuck in properly because it engaged my brain, occupied my time and served a useful purpose.
Shame I have to work over Easter, but hopefully I can spend some time in the garden and do some weeding and planting at long last. I feel like I am finally coming out of hibernation after a long dreary winter.

Hi everyone,
Ooh Ruby, that sounds painful, I hope the Dr can help.
Nelski, I hope things get better asap.
Gers, I'm glad your pain has gone, I hope it helps long term.
TA, best wishes for your BFF.
We're back from the toddler wrangling session and today I will continue with sorting things so that we can fit in the family long term. Laura has another scan this morning, it's a bit like torture for her, wondering if everything will be ok and then knowing that even if it is it might not be next week. I'll let you know how it goes.
Have a good day.15 -
Morning folks. I am reading along on my phone but replying with a combination of dodgy specs and sausage fingers makes it difficult! My trusty old laptop seems to have finally given up the ghost. Sorry to hear you have foot pain RUBY has the plantar facilities returned? Thoughts with NELS and sorry to hear life is a struggle. Good luck to LAURA with her scan. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"17

Morning All
Dry this morning but quite overcast, yesterday turned into a lovely afternoon, sunshine and blue skies after a morning of rain. No washing to put out and no housework to do as it was all done for my visitors yesterday.
It was lovely to see friends after so long, two of their Aunts are over visiting from SA so good to meet new folk too. They weren't too keen on the haggis but seemed to enjoy the chicken! The little one was a star keeping us all entertained, I'm going to get her to wear my fitbit, she never stops!
Off to the allotment this morning, there are more onions to go in. I may have a look at putting together the base for this greenhouse today, it's so sad that it's just sat there still in it's wrapper.
Welcome Zola.
Hope the Dr can help with your foot Ruby, did you have this before?
Glad your appointments went well Gers, great that the University will be using all the documents.
Thinking of you Nelski, and Laura too.
Enjoy your trip to Berlin dp1.
Right, must go in the shower and get moving. Have a good day, take care. XX16 -
Morning all. Absent without permission due to two early starts followed by long naps. Not much to report. I may venture out to the Italian deli today, Easter being the time to indulge in all things Italian food wise, followed by imminent diet, being as I am less beach ready and more beachball ready. OH is off for the next five days but I doubt we'll be going anywhere, I expect he'll be showing his X Box who's boss while I waft around the garden wishing for some compost. My tomato seedlings need potting on.Welcome Zola, I was imagining French novelists as name inspiration
Ruby, back to rolling your feet over a coke can? Hope they can help, maybe a steroid injection or two. Although I still recommend sports massage for it. Nelski, sorry you're having a poo time, sounds like no one has their harris in gear again. Gers, that's very touching. I'm sorry, I have forgotten quite a lot fo what I've read lately, so hugs and stuff to anyone who needs them and take care of yourselves.

Morning all
Thanks for all your good wishes - I'm so excited to see eldest DD tomorrow morning.
I'm packed, checked in and getting train to Edinburgh this afternoon. My flight is at 6.20 in the morning so very early start for me. DD has to get a train from Nuremberg to Berlin at 5am so we will both be tired on Friday night.
Lady from the cattery will pick the boys up at lunchtime - I usually have quite a battle getting them into their boxes...so try to have them in ready for her.
Will go down to have a cuppa with mam and dad this morning.
Right I'm going to have a quick check of my bank.
Gers - pleased it went well yesterday - I'm another who will want to read when the university puts everything on.
'See' you all next week. Take care x14
