Switching from BT to Plusnet

BT Contract for mobile and broadband expires next month.
Been shopping around and Plusnet can offer me the same, but for about £18 less per month.
I could ring up BT and ask for a discount in exchange for me signing another contract but doubt they can match what Plusnet can offer.
Main question is.
How do I transfer my BT Mobile to Plusnet mobile without any glitches ? I am concerned that my mobile phone service ( calls, texts, data ) could get cut off before I am switched to Plusnet
Would the best thing to do. Order the broadband router etc. Then once I am a plusnet customer, order the new sim card about 5-7 days before my BT contract expires so I can then put my new sim card on the day the contract expires ?
Also. If I get about 75megabit with BT. am I likely to get the same with Plusnet ? As they use the same line
Thanks

https://www.plus.net/help/mobile/moving-phone-number/ for the mobile. With regards to internet speed in theory if you get 75Mps now you should get something very similar with any provider.

Plusnet is owned by BT. Their supplied router is a variant of the BT router. Unless you have an issue you are unlikely to notice any difference between the 2 companies (when BT's CS may be better, at least that is what they say).1

Seen some reviews on the best ISP's for gaming and BT came out higher than Plusnet. Not for the actual speed but the latency
was lower. BT traffic may get some priority.
In the process of switching back to Plusnet myself. I moved to Vodafone who had a great offer but me download speeds dropped
a little. Original install was done by an engineer and he said the max will be 67 which is the max set by the ISP but his reading showed
even better than that. (green box is close).
Plusnet 67-69, Vodafone 58-62. Not a lot in it, but hoping the latency will improve.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
