As mentioned recently I'll decide to Keep or Ditch Aqua when required.
If I were to use as small spender, I believe fast and generous Increases are on the horizon.
I no longer have many of my small spend cards after recent ditching.
Natwide,Amazon RBS are mostly for large spends if required.
Though Amex is decent@1.7k and I forgot 1.3k rbs.

    thanks

I took out an Aqua reward card (no longer offered to new customers) to get the 0.5% cashback and fee free use for purchases abroad when Tandem pulled out of the market.  Initial limit was £1,200 which if I recall was the maximum they would offer to new customers.  It quickly rose to £4,500 though.

I would question why anyone would take out one of Aqua’s current cards however if they are already able to get better credit cards elsewhere, and if they haven’t decided what they actually want it for before applying!

Read OP post history, ran up huge debt, went into DMP, came out, repeated cycle of opening tonnes of credit, keeps doing it despite wage cut. Rinse and repeat

So you took a card without knowing why you wanted it, and you also forgot you had an RBS card at £1.3k? Instead of getting lots of cards and going back to high interest rates - focus on managing the existing accounts you have and building a positive credit history with those, rather than going around the merry go round and opening card after card after card after card without any particular purpose or direction. Why would you want a generous credit increase on a high APR card when you have alternative cards at lower rates?

    @cymruchris

Part of CC re building experience, if Aqua used as small spender APR won't be of concern.

    Thanks

No idea of purpose of latest Aqua Card.
Why would anyone take any credit card if they don't know why they want it?

As we know the only things that matter to lenders is your credit history & your income to available debt ratio.

So this is exactly why offers are Diminishing. As lenders are picking up that OP is taking on more debt & is fast running back to the point where their outgoings will exceed the income.

Still at some point soon there will be no credit providers that have not been hit by the OP.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we are there already…

I’m always happy to see people make progress in their journey from one of life’s low points back to a degree of normality. I also encourage people to improve their standing small step by small step (similarly to my own progress).

The scatter gun approach of applying for everything isn’t the way forwards though. And applying for a card without knowing why you wanted it, and for a deal far worse than you’ve got already does seem to be, well in a word…. Bonkers.

I want to be careful as I don’t want to be accused of being the bad guy to the OP here @Dandytf - my intention is not to be negative towards your decisions - and it’s your choice what you do in your credit journey - but sometimes I wonder why people make certain decisions - and the question now is - what card will be next?
