Aliexpress question

Hi
I was wondering if someone could give me some information.
I bought an item from
china through Aliexpress. I was given a tracking number. The item got
delayed way past the delivery date. The seller kept saying she is
updating something on the system each time it got delayed further, not sure what she meant
felt like she meant insurance.
The item did not come in the time limit set by Aliexpress, I thought the parcel had got lost so made a dispute, Aliexpress then refunded my money,
I was just
wondering does the seller get there money back from Aliexpress or the parcel company,? it was an expensive item or does the seller take out
insurance just in case it gets lost?
The item arrived a few
weeks after that.
I feel bad for the
seller.
Thanks

Seller will likely lose any claim if the company show delivery even if delivered late.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1

When this has happened to me I usually send one message to the seller explaining that it has arrived and offering to return it if they supply a pre paid and tracked label. Most Far East sellers will either ignore your email , ask you to send it back at your own cost (I decline and ask again for a label) or just tell you to keep the item for free. I have been asked to repay before now, but have been asked to use weird and wonderful websites that don’t appear to work in the UK, and when I’ve asked for PayPal or something easier they have again just told me not to worry.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi,
The sellers are protected when they use aliexpress shipping, so you don't need to feel sorry for the sellers.0 -
Be aware this is a resurrected thread- I will message the team to ask whether they want to close the thread
