I bought ana item in ebay and used Shiply to move it. As soon as the item was collected the courier stopped responding to my emails up to now.
isn’t Shiply liable since they introduced the courier and actually charged me a fee on their platform? How do i go about this?

No, Shipley act as your agent and have done what you asked them to do ie find a selection of estimates fior you to choose from.0

Shiply are an appalling company who do no checks whatsoever on the people/companies that advertise with them, and do not make it clear enough to the customer that all you're using shiply for is to introduce you to the company or person that is actually doing the job. If you contacted a courier company directly you would make sure you had their details i.e. address, phone number, check they had insurance etc, but many people who use shiply do so without checking these things because they think shiply is doing it. They do nothing.I assume the item is expensive. Did you organise the shipping yourself or did the seller do it for you? If it was the seller, then you need to report it as "item not received" on eBay and let them deal with it. If it was you, I would recommend you contact the seller, tell them what happened and ask them if they have any details from the courier - e.g. was there a company name on the van or the courier's clothing, did they show ID or sign for the item, do they have the vehicle registration etc. Get together all of the details you can on the person who did the collection, and see if you can find their address or company details online.0

What timescale are we talking about? How long since you sent the item?
You might get some ideas for help here if you give more detail.
